Privacy Policy
Floater is a focus timer. We built it to work without collecting your data. This page explains what the app stores, where it is stored, and what it never does.
Summary
- Floater does not collect personal data.
- Floater has no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics.
- Floater does not contain third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
- Floater does not send your data to our servers, because it has no servers.
What is stored, and where
Everything Floater stores stays on your iPhone:
- Session history: the start time, planned length, and outcome (completed or given up) of each focus session.
- Your current session: the start and end time of a session in progress, so the timer stays accurate if the app closes.
- Your last-used settings: for example, the length you picked last.
- Lock Screen and widget data: the information needed to show your companion and timer on the Lock Screen. This is shared between the app and its widget on your device only.
Permissions
Notifications (optional). Floater asks for permission to send one notification when a session ends. It is used only for that alert. You can turn it off at any time in iOS Settings.
What Floater does not do
- It does not sell, rent, or share your data.
- It does not track you across apps or websites.
- It does not use your data for advertising.
- It does not collect location, contacts, health data, photos, or microphone input.
Children
Floater does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app from your iPhone removes the data it stored on that device.
Changes to this policy
